This study aimed to determine the potential of melinjo leaf powders to inhibit A. hydrophila bacterial proliferation that affected fish growth rates. The method used was a completely randomized design comprising P1 (positive control 1 ppm), P2 (negative control), P3 (3% melinjo leaf powder), P4 (6% melinjo leaf powder), and P5 (9% melinjo leaf powder). The parameters assessed were composed of clinical symptoms and growth rates. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis tests. The results showed inhibitory activity against A. hydrophila in Nile tilapia, with a reduction in clinical symptoms in P1 treatment and melinjo leaf powder treatments (P3–P5). In growth rates, Nile tilapia achieved the highest weight gain (7.608 g), length gain (1.533 cm), and specific growth rate (2.603%/day) in P3 treatment, which were significantly different among other treatments (p < 0.05). Therefore, this study concludes that 9% melinjo leaf powder has a positive effect on improving the growth rates of Nile tilapia infected with A. hydrophila, comparable to antibiotics.
